<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device and an image forming apparatus capable of making the amount of toner in a developing chamber close to uniformity. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes a developer carrier 52 which carries the toner; the developing chamber 51 which has the developer carrier 52; a transport section 55, which connects an upper portion and a lower portion of the developing chamber 51 outside the developing chamber 51; transport members 56, 57 and 58, which are disposed in the transport section 55 and transport the toner from the lower portion to the upper portion of the developing chamber 51, while agitating the toner; and a controller 110, which controls the amount of toner transported by the transport members 56, 57 and 58. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
