There is provided a block (10) for building a toy, including a body (20), a case (30) provided in the body (20), a holder (40) with a sliding-prevention part, provided movably and rotatably within the case (30), and a magnet (50) with south and north pole faces, installed in the holder (40). The blocks (10), each with this construction, can connect to each other to build a toy, without sliding off relative to each other.
