<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation element hardly generating imbalance, and a display comprising the same. <P>SOLUTION: A substrate film 31 of the retardation element 30 includes a thin optically anisotropic resin film. The slow axis AX3 of the substrate film 31 is oriented in the vertical direction so as to intersect the slow axis AX1 of the right eye region 32A of the retardation element 30 and the slow axis AX2 of the left eye region 32B. Hence, the optical anisotropy of the substrate film 31 influences lights transmitted the substrate film 31 evenly without extremely influencing only either one of lights corresponding to the right eye or lights corresponding to the left eye, transmitting through the substrate film 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
