PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrier rib forming material for an organic EL, a photosensitive resin composition for the barrier rib forming material for the organic EL, and a color filter for the organic EL suitable for preventing entry of water from the end of an organic EL display. SOLUTION: A width of the upper part of the barrier rib forming material 7 for the organic EL is smaller than the width of the lower part. A plurality of them are formed to be adjacent without contact. The photosensitive resin composition for the barrier rib forming material contains a polymerizable monomer, an alkaline soluble resin, and a photopolymerization initiator, and when a mixing ratio of the polymerizable monomer and the alkaline soluble resin is 1:X, X is≥0.8 and≤1.2, and the average molecule weight of the polymerizable monomer is≥500 and≤900.
