An EGR valve (20) includes a valve housing (22), a ball valve (30), a shaft (86), a valve holder (32) held against the ball valve (30), and a valve seat (52). The valve holder (32) includes a smaller-diameter portion (38), a larger-diameter portion (40), and an annular groove (44) defined between the smaller-diameter portion (38) and the larger-diameter portion (40). The annular groove (44) is smaller in diameter than both the smaller-diameter portion (38) and the larger-diameter portion (40). A chamber (46) is defined between the annular groove (44) and the valve housing (22). |
