<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric for phenol resin foam having an excellent mechanical strength as phenol resin foam. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The nonwoven fabric for phenol resin foam, being a partially thermocompression-bonded long-fiber nonwoven fabric which comprises a thermoplastic continuous filament, has a basis weight of 20-260 g/m<SP>2</SP>, and a strength-elongation product per basis weight of 70-300.
