Provided is an electronic equipment with improved usability. The electronic equipment is characterized by having a first display unit (110) that displays information pertaining to an active application (160), which is the application being executed; a touch sensor (132) that is superimposed upon the first display unit (110) and that detects contact made thereto; and a control unit (200) that processes the active application (160) in cases where a contact made to the touch sensor (132) while information pertaining to the active application (160) is displayed on the first display unit (110) is assessed as a first contact, and that executes as the active application (160) an alternate application (170) differing from the application currently being executed in cases where a contact made to the touch sensor (132) is assessed as a second contact that has a wider region than the first contact. The electronic equipment is also equipped with a display control unit (204) that instructs the first display unit (110) to display at least the information pertaining to the active application, which is the application being executed, and that instructs a second display unit (120) to arrange and display at least the information pertaining to each alternate application that differs from the application being executed. The display control unit (204) is characterized by instructing information pertaining to a plurality of alternate applications to be displayed in the varying forms thereof.
