Fuel cell compartment for combustion-powered tool

A housing 12 for a power tool 10 with a motor, comprises a fuel cell chamber 40 configured for attachment to the motor. The fuel cell chamber 40 has a fuel cell door 110 at one end and is dimensioned so that a fuel cell 60 can be placed in it in one of two different positions. The fuel cell chamber 40 has a shelf mount 68 inside it. When the fuel cell 60 is placed in the fuel cell housing 40 in the first position, the shelf mount 68 will define a distance from the fuel cell door 110 that allows the full insertion of the fuel cell 60, and the shelf mount 68 will be configured to secure a fuel injector 70 in position. When the fuel cell 60 is placed in the fuel cell chamber 40 in the second position, the shelf mount 68 will support the bottom of the fuel cell 60 when the fuel cell 60 is provided with a mechanical fuel dispenser 106, and the shelf mount 68 will define a distance from the fuel cell door 110 that allows operational engagement between the mechanical fuel dispenser 106 and the motor.
