<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device without a large load, where a transfer part smoothly performs transferring in response to the body shape of a person to be transferred when inserting or feeding the transfer part to the person to be transferred, while unnecessitating the movement of the person to be transferred by enlarging strokes thereby to allow the transfer part to cover a whole bed surface. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The transfer device 10 includes: the freely self-propelling transfer part 13; and a truck part 14 for supporting the transfer part 13. The transfer part 13 includes: a base 15 supported by the truck part 14; a flexible plate 16 supported by the base 15; and a placement part 17 slidably supported by the plate 16.
