PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rainwater or the like from flowing down between a bridge girder and a parapet from a portion provided with an expansion device, to wet the facing surfaces of the end of the bridge girder and the girder end of the parapet. SOLUTION: The upper part of the parapet 21 raised to face the end face of the bridge girder 1 from the top of a bridge abutment 2 is provided with a drain groove 26 draining rainwater or the like to the side of the bridge girder 1. The bridge abutment 2 side of the expansion device 4 is supported to the back soil 5 side of the upper part of the parapet 21. The bridge girder 1 is provided with a girder end overhang part 12 of concrete toward the top of the drain groove 26 from the upper part of the end face 11, and the bridge girder 1 side of the expansion device is supported thereon. The drain groove 26 receives rainwater or the like flowing downward from the expansion device 4 supported to the girder end overhang part 12 and to the upper part of the parapet 21, and drains the rainwater or the like from the drain groove 26 to the side of the bridge abutment 2.
