<p>An architectural glazed panel comprising a rigid frame (1) with fluoroplastic film (2) shrunk on to the frame so as to be stretched across both faces of the frame. A method of making the panel comprises forming a rigid frame of a desired shape, forming a tubular fluoroplastic film, the width of the tube being smaller than the smallest external dimension of the frame in the plane of the frame, heating the film and stretching the tube until the width thereof is sufficient to permit the frame to be inserted into the tube, cooling the tube while stretched, inserting the frame into the tube and heating the tube to shrink the tube whereby it becomes stretched over the frame, and sealing the open end or ends of the tube.</p> |
