<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus and a projector, capable of improving the convenience upon selecting a desired parameter set from a plurality of parameter sets when calling a parameter set. <P>SOLUTION: In a memory calling menu image Gm6 which is displayed when calling desired one of among a plurality of parameter sets stored in a memory, parameters representing color modes are listed in a vertical direction, and nine identifiers ("memory 1" to "memory 9") for identifying the parameter sets are displayed on the right of corresponding parameters.
