PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a highly optically selective cyclic epoxy olefin compound derivative by a simple operation at a low cost at a low risk under a mild condition in a high yield. SOLUTION: The method for producing an optically active cyclic epoxy aryl ester derivative represented by formula (3) includes reacting a cyclic epoxy olefin compound with an organic peroxide using an N, N-bidentate optically active Schiff base ligand and a copper compound as catalyst and carrying out a selective asymmetric oxidation reaction.
