<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic cap improved in tamper evident characteristic which effectively prevents the removal of the cap from a container mouth in a state that a tamper evident band is not removed from a cap body even if the cap is thinned. <P>SOLUTION: The plastic cap comprising a cap body and a tamper evident band is formed with a plurality of ribs protruding outward roughly bilaterally symmetrically centering on the midsection in the peripheral direction of a flange on the outer face of the band corresponding to the position of the flange formed on the skirt of the cap body. The outward protrusion at the top end of the ribs protrudes roughly with almost the same amount of the protrusion of the flange at the position of the ribs.
