PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate density unevenness of laser light by keeping an influence of offset light emission of a beam from another channel constant and keeping a light quantity error due to APC control constant in a semiconductor laser having a plurality of beams. SOLUTION: A light beam scanning device includes: a plurality of light sources which emits laser light; an illumination control means of controlling illumination of the plurality of light sources; a light quantity detecting means of detecting the quantity of laser light of each of the plurality of light sources; a light quantity storage means of storing the quantities of light of the plurality of light sources detected by the light quantity detecting means; and a light quantity control means controlling the quantity of light of the plurality of light sources stored by the light quantity storage means. The light quantity control means performs control to keep an influence of very weak emission of light from other light sources other than the light sources the quantity of light of which is controlled, thereby controlling the quantities of light of the plurality of light sources.
