Provided is an information processing device which performs frame thinning from a first video frame group having a source rate of the frame quantity m per a predetermined time so as to detect a second video frame group having a frame rate converted into a frame quantity n (n < m) per the predetermined time. The information processing device includes: a first motion vector calculation unit which acquires a first motion vector as a motion vector between one video frame of the second video frame group and a video frame immediately before the one video frame; a second motion vector calculation unit which acquires a second motion vector as a motion vector between one video frame of the second video frame group and a video frame preceding the one video frame as a reference point by n video frames; and a detection unit which detects that the second video frame group has been obtained by the frame rate conversion of the first video frame group when the ratio between the first motion vector and the second motion vector is within a predetermined range decided by the frame quantity m and the frame thinning method.
