<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop and prepare a formulation that can stably preserve live recombinant viruses when they carry therapeutic transgenes, to provide a formulation that can stabilize a viral preparation at a temperature above -80°C over a long period of time, to provide a composition that comprises the viruses and can maintain the pH within the range of about 7 to about 8.5 over a long period of time, and to develop a formulation that stabilizes relatively high concentration of the viruses under harsh conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The composition comprises the viruses in the formulation comprising a polyhydroxy hydrocarbon buffered so as to maintain the pH within the range of from about 7 to about 8.5 at a temperature within the range of from about 2 to 27°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
