PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor that can have stable magnetic characteristics, and is reducible in manufacturing cost and made lightweight. SOLUTION: The reactor 10 has a core 11 and a coil 31. The core 11 is in a hollow cylinder shape having a through hole 20 formed in its center part, and includes an inner cylinder core 12 made of a ferromagnetic material and an outer cylinder core 22 formed of a dust core, and is formed by fitting the inner cylinder core 12 in the center hole of the outer cylinder core 22 and combining them together such that an outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder core 12 and an inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder core 22 come into surface contact with each other. The coil 31 is inserted into the through hole 20 of the core 11, and wound around the core 11 along an outer peripheral surface 26 of the outer cylinder core 22. The outer cylinder core 22 has a gap 28 formed extending from the inner peripheral surface to the vicinity of an outer peripheral edge 27 in a diameter direction while penetrating the outer cylinder core 22 in an axial direction.
