PURPOSE: Power supply device and method using a thermoelectric device are provided to continuously supply the power except when the power generation is not made due to inefficient wind speed. CONSTITUTION: A power supply device using a thermoelectric device comprises a thermoelectric device(120), a molded case circuit breaker(132) and a transfer switch(133). The thermoelectric device senses the heat generated by the operation of a wind power generation device in a wind power generation system. The thermoelectric device changes the detected heat into the electrical energy. If the electrical energy changed by the thermoelectric device is over the cut-off reference energy, the circuit breaker receives the electrical energy and generates a switching signal. The transfer switch switches a contact switch from a system contact to a thermoelectric device contact connected to the thermoelectric device by the switching signal. The transfer switch supplies the electrical energy to the central controller of the wind power generation device. The system contact point is connected so that the system electricity generated by the wind power generation device is supplied. The thermoelectric device contact is connected to the thermoelectric device.
