NOVEL TRANSITION METAL COMPLEXES

PURPOSE: A catalyst composition containing metal compound with a novel ligand compound and a method for preparing olefin polymer using the same are provided. CONSTITUTION: A novel ligand compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. A metal compound is bound with 4 group transition metal or 10 group transition metal by covalent bond. The transition metal is Ti, Zr, or Hf. The catalyst composition contains a compound of chemical formula 4(Al(R_3)_3), metal compound, and compound of chemical formula 5([L-H]^+[ZA_4]^- or [L]^+[ZA_4]^-). A method for preparing the catalyst composition comprises: a step of contacting a first crude catalyst of chemical formula 4 to obtain a mixture; and a step of contacting a second crude catalyst of chemical formula 5 to the mixture of the first crude catalyst and metal compound.
