Method for improving the product properties of clinker during firing of raw meal in a clinker or cement furnace comprises subjecting the waste products containing organic substances or low heating value or alternative fuels to thermal dissociation, reacting the dissociation products using radiant energy and feeding the product gas or synthesis gas to the main firing facility to increase the flame temperature.
