<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a data loss during the change of a configuration, and to resume an original configuration by interrupting the change of configuration in the case of changing the configuration of the group of a data device. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of changing the configuration of a device group, a space disk securing part 16a secures a spare device for the redundancy restoration processing of the device group, and a change processing redundancy section 16b places data read from the old configurations on a buffer, and writes the data in a spare device for redundancy. In this case, data under the execution of configuration change exist on a disk, a space disk, and a buffer configuring an RAID group.
