TWO-PIECE DIVIDED OUTER RING, ROLLER BEARING, AND ROTARY SHAFT SUPPORT STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide two-piece divided outer rings appropriately positionable to a housing and easily built in a rotary shaft.

SOLUTION: The circumferential center and axial center of the outer diameter surface of the two-piece divided outer rings 11a are provided with a positioning protrusion 14 engaged with the housing arranged on the outer diameter side of the two-piece divided outer rings to position the two-piece divided outer rings 11a to the housing. Mutual abutting parts 16a, 16b of a pair of two-piece divided outer rings 11a are provided with a projecting shape part 17a and a recessed shape part 17b engaged with each other to regulate the axial movement of both two-piece divided outer rings 11a. The projecting shape part 17a and the recessed shape part 17b are in point symmetry with respect to the center 20 of the positioning protrusion 14 as the center point.
