<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and simple plant cultivation device for growing herbs and small vegetables to bring them as they are into a dining table and supply as herb tea or raw vegetable, and causing no hygienic problem even if cultivating foliage plants or orchid on a table. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This plant cultivation device is such that a cultivation bed is made by irregularly connecting with each other a plurality of cylinder shape capillary water-absorbing materials while nearly retaining uprightness, so as to make continuous large and small gaps in a range suitable for growth of plant root. It is possible to thoroughly wash house dust, bacteria, fungus spores, mite, and slug eggs each adhering to the surface by watering from above the cultivation bed. As for the material of the cylinder shape capillary water-absorbing material, it is all right to use any of or combine five kinds of carbides or ceramics of used disposable wooden chopsticks, a material made by cutting bamboo stems into a thin strip shape, bamboo branches, bamboo grass stems, and a material made by cutting goldenrod stems.
