PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-pressure discharge lamp and its manufacturing method, of a bent shape with an equivalent or higher strength of the bent part of a glass bulb than the one made by bending a straight-tube low-pressure discharge lamp, as well as a lighting system and an image display, of which a bent part of the glass bulb of the low-pressure discharge lamp fitted inside is prevented from damage in movement.

SOLUTION: The low-pressure discharge lamp 100 provided with a glass bulb 101 with a tube axis bent and an electrode 102 arranged at least at one of the end parts of the glass bulb 101, includes at least one connection trace 101b formed at a part other than bent parts 101a of the glass bulb 101.
