KEY PAD ASSEMBLY USING FONT PRINTED LIGHT GUIDE SHEET AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A key pad assembly and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to implement various colors by directly printing a light emitting font on an optical guide sheet. CONSTITUTION: A key pad assembly comprises a keypad(10), an optical waveguide sheet(20) and an actuator(40). The keypad has a font light transmitting region made of transparent materials. The optical waveguide sheet is attached to the rear of the key pad. The optical waveguide sheet is comprised of a base film and a plurality of font layers. A light diffusion pattern and a light reflection layer are formed on the base film. The plurality of font layers are printed on the base film. The actuator is attached to the rear of the optical waveguide sheet. The actuator has a protrusion for transmitting the signal according to the operation of the keypad.
