The device has an orientation and positioning unit, and an opening (30) realized in an upper wall (32), a lower wall (33), a lateral walls (34, 35), where the opening passes a part (11) of a temperature measuring probe (10). A fixation unit (36) fixes the device in a duct i.e. exhaust duct of an internal combustion engine, or the probe. The fixation unit has wires connecting the walls to a gas circulation duct section (21).
