<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the ball joint which is compatible in the required rocking torque and the required running torque. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A ball joint 10 is provided with the ball stud 12 which has a spherical head 12a and an axial part 12b and the socket 16 which stores the spherical head 12a turnably through a bearing sheet 14. A high friction coefficient area 12a2, which has a different friction coefficient from that of the other area 12a1 in a circumferential direction setting the axial part 12b as a rotation center, is provided to the spherical head 12a.
