<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging method capable of uniformly coating a releasing agent on a die. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A workpiece 13 set in the Nth die 11 of a forging device 10 is forged by closing the Nth dies 11, 12, and the workpiece 13 at the Nth die 11 is picked up with a carrying device (described in detail later) by opening the Nth dies 11, 12. The workpiece 13 is moved as an arrow (1) and is rotated by a predetermined angle during moving between the Nth dies 11, 12 and the (N+1)th dies 14, 15. The workpiece is obliquely erected by being rotated by predetermined angle so that it is removed from a jetting area of a nozzle. As a result, the releasing agent is uniformly coated on the die.
