<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a three layer process to manufacture a contact in a high transition temperature superconductor (HTSC), especially (Bi, Pb)<SB>2</SB>Sr<SB>2</SB>Ca<SB>2</SB>Cu<SB>3</SB>O<SB>10+x</SB>which sometimes contains silver and sometimes contains no silver in a superconductor. <P>SOLUTION: The structure of the contact has punched silver foil (3) held between two silver layers (2, 5) stuck by a metal spray gun and three layer disposition subsequently accompanying heat treatment in the air. The contact is manufactured in a tube and a rod (1). This silver contact can continuously transport a current of 200 A without applying a practical thermal load to a freezing mixture used for cooling the HTSC. Contact resistance at 4.2 K in zero-applied-magnetic field is within a range of 1.5x10<SP>-8</SP>to 8.5x10<SP>-8</SP>Ω. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
