The bar (36) has a connection bar formed as a pipe, and a coupling element including a shaft inserted into an end of the pipe and pressed with the pipe. The shaft is cylindrically formed, and includes recesses at its periphery, and the pressed pipe is engaged with its wall in the recesses. The recesses formed as flat portions of the cylindrical shaft are arranged in pairs. A coupling section of the coupling element is formed as a ball cup, and kinematics elements e.g. locking hooks (12, 14), are attached to a front closure (10) of a bonnet of a cabriolet vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a coupling bar.
