<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently converge even light, which is made incident in parallel to the center axis of a waveguide, on a photoelectric conversion part. <P>SOLUTION: In a waveguide structure having the waveguide 40A for guiding light made incident on a microlens 44 to a light reception surface of the photoelectric conversion part 32, the waveguide 40A has a quadratic curved surface, for example, a parabolic surface as its internal surface, and then the light which is made incident in parallel to the center axis P of the waveguide 40A and reflected by the internal surface of the waveguide 40A is efficiently converged on the light reception surface of the photoelectric conversion part 32 to enhance light convergence efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
