<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recorder capable of improving the visibility of a recorder operation state and improving operability, and a video recording method of the video recorder. Ž<P>SOLUTION: While executing the simultaneous video recording processing of 1-segment program data and 12-segment program data, the channel information of a 1-segment broadcasting channel and the channel information of a 12-segment broadcasting channel are simultaneously displayed in order to indicate that the simultaneous video recording processing is being executed. Thus, the 12-segment broadcasting channel and the 1-segment broadcasting channel during the execution of the simultaneous video recording processing are confirmed. Also, a user is made to be conscious of the limit item of the operation of the video recorder 100 during the execution of the simultaneous video recording processing.
