<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interrupt controlling apparatus capable of executing an interrupt processing in accordance with an unnecessary displacement of a displacement member without preparing a special hardware, and to provide a recording apparatus, an interrupt controlling method and an interrupt controlling program. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When movement to a home position of a carriage is completed, an edge selecting part obtains initial conditions of respective detecting signals output by a linear encoder, and sets a permission edge (Steps S13 and S14). When an edge corresponding to the set permission edge is detected from respective detecting signals output by the linear encoder, an interrupt managing part outputs an interrupt requesting signal (Step S18). When the interrupt requesting signal is input, an interrupt part executes the interrupt processing based on an unnecessary movement in the right and left direction of the carriage (Step S19-S22).
