<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent display the capacitance of which is increased by increasing the surface area of a capacitor, and a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent display includes a substrate containing a thin-film transistor region and a capacitor region, a buffer layer, a semiconductor layer pattern crystallized by using a metal catalyst placed in the transistor region, a gate insulating film, a gate electrode facing a fixed region of the pattern and a capacitor lower electrode in the capacitor region, an interlayer insulating film, source/drain electrodes the portions of which are connected to the pattern and an capacitor upper electrode facing the capacitor lower electrode, a first electrode connected to source/drain electrodes on the interlayer insulating film in the same way, an organic film layer containing a light emitting layer, and a second electrode in this order, wherein a crystal grain boundary of crystal grain for forming the semiconductor layer pattern and a projection part in a shape identical to a seed's shape are formed in the fixed regions of the buffer layer, gate insulating film, and interlayer insulating film which face the capacitor region and on the surfaces of the capacitor upper electrode and the capacitor lower electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
