PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device 20 capable of providing information required to verify whether a route adopted as a guide route is more appropriate than other routes which are not adopted as guide routes. SOLUTION: The navigation device 20 includes: a traffic congestion information storing part 200; a traffic congestion information receiving part 201; a current position calculation part 206; a route search part 207; a route guide part 208; a virtual position estimation part 205 for estimating a virtual position of a vehicle on each link included in each of routes other than the guide route according to the elapsed time from departure of the vehicle from a departure point based on the proportion of the elapsed time from a time at which the vehicle is estimated to enter the link to a required time included in latest traffic congestion information of the link at the time when the vehicle is estimated to enter the link; and a virtual position display part 204 for displaying each virtual position.
