PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program capable of appropriately controlling communication, relating to the acquisition of the result of implementing the processing requested to an image forming device. SOLUTION: The device includes a registration means for registering a scanning implementation request to an image forming device in intermediation means; and a communication control means for sending a request for acquisition of image data scanned by the image forming device that has acquired the implementation request and transferred to the intermediation means to the intermediating means repeatedly at a constant interval. After the fact that the scanning implementation request registered in the intermediation means is acquired by the image forming device is returned as a response to the request for acquisition, the communication control means reduces the interval for sending the request for the acquisition of the image data.
