Energizing inrush currents of a main transformer at the time of acquiring the electrical power from a stringing are suppressed. A breaker (162) is opened in a state in which a pantograph (101) has fallen. The pantograph (101) is connected to a stringing (200), and the stringing voltage/phase is detected by a voltage/phase detection means (161). Electrical power is supplied from an electrical storage device (150c) to tertiary winding (112c) via an electrical power converter (PWM converter) (141c) in such a manner that the primary side of a main transformer (110) becomes the stringing voltage/phase detected by the voltage/phase detection means (161), and the main transformer (110) is inversely excited using the tertiary winding (112c). When the voltage of the main transformer (110) has the same phase as the voltage of the stringing (200), the breaker (162) is applied, the pantograph (101) is then raised, and the stringing (200) and the main transformer (110) are connected. The main transformer (110) in which a voltage having the same phase and level as the stringing voltage is applied to the primary side is connected to the stringing (200), thereby suppressing the energizing inrush currents of the main transformer (110). |
