PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem point that a ticket collecting process on an exit side becomes NG and such a problem point that a ticket examining machine at another exit side is altered, and securely prevent illegal use at the time of passage service when a medium allowing the passage service is used. SOLUTION: This ticket examining machine performs a ticket collecting process and a ticket examining process at the same time for a thrown-in medium and performs opening/closing control over the gate. At this time, in the medium for which the ticket inspecting process is performed, information for inhibiting passage through the gate by the repetition of the same ticket inspecting process after the process, e.g. an effective flag, an effective time, a time obtained by subtracting a specific time from the current time at ticket inspection time, or a time longer than a time set for passage from another automatic ticket examining machine in the same area, is stored. |
