<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make light emitted from an LED efficiently enter a reception surface of an optical fiber, so that the amount of light entering the optical fiber is increased as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: A translucent cover 10 is formed in a cylindrical shape. A translucent face 11 facing a light emitting part of an LED 20 is formed in a plane shape.
