PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light directional high explosive shell capable of efficiently using energy of bursting charge without wasting it. SOLUTION: In the high explosive shell 1, a plurality of formed fragments 8 rotatable in the circumferential direction are arranged in a clearance 7 formed between a shell 2 and the bursting charge 6. The plurality of formed fragments 8 are stored in the clearance 7 so that the presence range in the circumferential direction of an assembly of the formed fragments 8 is 180°or less.
