PURPOSE: A metal can compressor is provided to improve operation convenience, since empty cans are easily compressed by the one touch operation of a drive switch. CONSTITUTION: A metal can compressor comprises a cabinet type housing(110), a hopper(H), a sensor unit(140), a pressing container(120), a compression unit(130), a compressed can pick-up unit(151), and a collecting container(170). The hopper is installed on the top of the housing. The sensor unit senses the material of the empty can and transmits the signal information. The pressing container accepts the empty cans. The compression unit is driven in order to compress the empty can.
