The invention relates to a method, a system, a node (9), a router (20, 21), a gateway (80, 81), a monitoring means (12), an agent apparatus, an agent computer program (60, 61), an interception computer program (11) and an interception control computer program (10) for intercepting packets in a packet-oriented network (1). The interception comprises the steps of: providing at least one interception means for intercepting and copying information from a packet being transmitted in the network;activating an interception control means (10) for controlling the interception means (11); initiating communication between the interception control means (10) and the monitoring means (12) for monitoring the copied information from the packet; establishing a connection between the interception control means (10) and the interception means (11); ordering the interception means (11) to copy the information; and transmitting the copied information to the monitoring means (12). |
