The system has a combustion engine (8), and a heat accumulator (1) and a generator i.e. direct current generator, arranged in a thermally insulated storage housing (3). A suction hole (28) is formed in the storage housing, where suction air is supplied to the combustion engine via the hole and guided over and through the generator (23) such that waste heat of the generator is absorbed by the air before entering into the combustion engine. The generator is arranged in a lifting hole (26) provided within the storage housing that is lined with a damming material (5).
