<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner improved in operability and having a wind direction controlling function. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner 1 includes an indoor unit 30 mounted on a wall surface of a room, and a remote controller 70 externally operated to input an operation signal according to operation contents. A vertical louver 33 and a horizontal louver 35 are disposed on a supply opening of the indoor unit 30 to switch a wind direction. A CPU 18 controls inclination of the louvers on the basis of the control signal. The remote controller 70 has one area switching button operated in a rolling manner to designate any of divided six areas of a floor surface.
