PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct an error in Q-channel information of a CD. SOLUTION: A method for correcting the Q-channel information of a subcode is provided. When TOC information is read out, the Q-channel information of the subcode at a designated position is read from a disk. It is determined whether the designated position is the same as any of the start time points of an index number "1" of tracks of the read TOC information. When it is determined that the designated position is the same as of any of the start time points of the index number "1" of the tracks of the read TOC information, the read TOC information is used to perform a overwrite process. When it is determined that the designated position is not the same as any of the start time points of the index number "1" of the tracks of the read TOC information, a CRC determination and a determination of a difference between the designated position and the absolute time of the Q-channel information are performed, and a correction process is performed based on the results of the CRC determination and the difference determination.
