<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clinker cooler in which the phenomenon that cement clinker falls therefrom is prevented by reducing the insufficiency of high temperature strength, the progress of sulfide corrosion or the like in the pusher of the clinker cooler. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the clinker cooler composed so that, successively to a pusher provided at a position on which cement clinker fired by a rotary kiln is drop, movable grate plates and fixed grate plates are alternately arranged so as to elongate to the downstream side, and air is fed from slits piercingly formed at the inside of each grate plate through air holes formed at the upper part of each grate plate, the thickness of the lower half part from the center of the contact structural face of the pusher with the cement clinker is higher than the thickness of the upper half part.
