<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device etc. that receives image signals from an image supply device more properly and displays an image. <P>SOLUTION: A projector 100 includes: a communication section 110 to receive the image signals from the image supply device according to reception setting information; a determination section 120 to determine whether reception of the image signals is stable or not according to criterion information and reception status of the communication section 110; a control section 130 to cause the determination section 120 to perform determination after updating the reception setting information when it is determined that the reception is not stable, an image generation section 140 to generate an image based on the image signals, a projection section 190 to display the image.
