PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric vibrator that includes accurate conductive paths, has high precision, and does not require any complicated alignment in processes, and to provide a method of manufacturing the piezoelectric vibrator. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric vibrator includes: a piezoelectric vibration element comprising a piezoelectric blank formed from a frame section and a vibration section, an excitation electrode, an electrode for connection provided at the frame section, and an extraction electrode for electrically connecting the excitation electrode to the electrode for connection; an insulation section provided on one main surface of the frame section and on the electrode for connection; a base body comprising a substrate, an electrode terminal for external connection, and continuity wiring provided in a first through-hole; and a lid body including a recess on one main surface. The insulation section is provided with a second through-hole that communicates with the first one and passes through up to the electrode for connection; the first and second through-holes are filled with a conductive material, a prescribed electrode terminal for external connection is electrically connected to the electrode for connection; and one main surface of the frame section and the electrode for connection are joined to the other main surface of the substrate via the insulation section.
