<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical adaptor that facilitates assembling and capable of reducing connection loss. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The optical adaptor 10 having a through hole 2 in which a split sleeve 1 for optical connection is built in and held includes: a sleeve holder 4 in which a first cylindrical member 3 for forming one longitudinal end 2a of the through hole 2 is integrally installed; and a housing 7 which engages with the sleeve holder 4 and holds it inside, has a second cylindrical member 5 integrally installed that forms the other longitudinal end 2b of the through hole 2 by bringing it into contact with one end 3a of the first cylindrical member 3, and has a key groove part 6 for engaging with the key part of an optical plug. In the first cylindrical member 3 or the second cylindrical member 5, a positioning engaging part 8 that regulates rotation of the axial center of the split sleeve 1 are installed in a plurality of places.
